How it begins
Being design and build means the person on site already knows about your project, and a plan on how to deliver on time.
A week-by-week programme is issued before anyone sets foot on site — so you know what's happening, and when, before it happens. Your team walks you through what they need from you, each other and how they plan to deliver your project.
The end date is set from the outset.
It starts with who's actually on site
Are the people building it the same ones who designed it?
How do you know the project's on programme, without having to ask?
Who's responsible if two trades disagree about what's needed?
Who do you actually call if something needs deciding on the day?
What happens if something's found once walls are opened up?
What actually happens once the last box is unpacked?
Most of these questions only get hard to answer when a project has been passed between separate companies — an architect, a builder, a kitchen supplier — each only responsible for their own piece. Ours doesn't work that way.
We don't just promise you a date. We've built the whole company so that keeping it is our problem to solve, not yours to chase.

When a kitchen company, a builder and a designer are three separate businesses, no single one of them has a strong enough reason to solve a problem that threatens somebody else's date. James started as an apprentice carpenter in Chiswick in 1989 — fitting kitchens from his first week in the trade. He qualified through City & Guilds and Hammersmith College of Building, went self-employed in 1992, and spent the next eighteen years running his own building companies, JBF Builders and Collenmore Construction, before joining Kitchens by Holloways. Along the way he's become the person other builders call when they want a second opinion on how something should actually be done.

Once the last box is unpacked
We walk the finished room with you and agree anything still outstanding before we call it done. Six months later, once everything's had a chance to properly settle in, we come back for a final visit to pick up anything that needs a second look.
